What we offer in Outreach

Our Move On accommodation facilities are tailored for 16 to 35 years olds at multiple sites across the Tyne and Wear area, with staff support open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our dedicated team of Housing Support staff. We have a network of support services also in place that provides our Young People with vital links to other external organisations who can also encourage and guide them to independance.

Outreach Accommodation

We have multiple locations around the Sunderland, Houghton-le-spring and Fence Houses areas where we support and house our Young People who are able to make that next step onto independence.

Nestled within numerous terraced houses dotted around Sunderland or as part of a purpose built apartment block in Houghton-le-spring, or a large and spacious shared two bed flat at Fence Houses, our properties are fully furnished and have fitted kitchens and bathrooms complete with all the necessary appliances such as washing machine, Hob, Cooker and much more to ensure all our residents are cosy and comfortable.

Community in mind

All our Move On properties blend into their surroundings beautifully and our Young People are encouraged to become part of the community.

Many of our Outreach properties have vital links and close connections to external networks and organisations who also support our Young People during their stay with us and are encouraged to keep in touch and reach out whenever they need a helping hand.

We take pride in ensuring our Move on homes are right for each Young Person which includes not only that they have a good relationship with those whom they share a house with but also the area in which the home is nestled.

Some of our residents have their homes so cosy and welcoming; we’re too proud

We promote and support all our young people to make their homes comfortable and cosy; put their mark on the place, get their own style of bedding or colour scheme or anything else they might like to do to ‘make themselves at home’.  Home is a safe heaven, a space to be yourself and feel at ease so if a picture and a cosy bed throw and a beautiful lightshade is just the ticket to making a cosy nook; then that’s ‘great’ with us.

Homemade Baking & Cooking

Across all our services, the amazing and dedicated Housing staff are always cooking and baking and sharing the most tastie meals and treats with our Young People to encourage them to learn how to cook and bake themselves.  From a hot dinner to a corned beef pie or a delicious cheesecake, our support staff are constantly reinforcing good life skills, healthy diet and money management to help our Young People to budget and look after themselves.
